Inactive Members

As an active member of SCRS, you contribute a tax-deferred 6.5 percent of your gross pay into your SCRS account. If no contributions are reported into your account after one fiscal year, your account becomes inactive; however, it continues to accrue 4 percent interest compounded annually.
