Member Address Change

Active Members
Active members may contact the Retirement Systems to request an address change. You must notify our office in writing, however, if you have a pending refund claim on file with the Retirement Systems or if you are receiving a retirement annuity from the Retirement Systems.

If you fall within these categories, you may send your change of address in writing to us at Post Office Box 11960, Columbia, SC 29211-1960. You may also contact your employer for a Universal Name/Address Change Form, which, upon completion, may be submitted to the Retirement Systems.

Retired Members
For your safety and the security of your retirement annuity, the Retirement Systems requires that you submit to our office a signed, written request on paper for any change to your address. Even if you have your retirement check deposited directly into your bank account, the Retirement Systems mails check stubs to you in January and June of each year and any other time the amount of your annuity check changes. We also mail your annual 1099 form for income tax purposes to the address on file, so it is important to make sure that address if current.

You may send your change of address in writing to us at Post Office Box 11960, Columbia, SC 29211-1960.
