PORS - Inactive Members

As an active member of PORS, you contribute a tax-deferred 6.5 percent of your gross pay into your PORS account. If no contributions are reported into your account after one fiscal year, your account becomes inactive; however, it continues to accrue 4 percent interest compounded annually.

If you would like to receive an annual inactive member statement, you must notify the Retirement Systems of any and all address changes. Inactive member statements are mailed only to inactive members for whom we have a valid address. You may contact the Retirement Systems to update your address or request a statement of your account at any time. You may also contact the Inactive Member Program directly at (803) 737-6840 or inactives@retirement.sc.gov.
