General Information

The South Carolina Retirement Systems manages retirement plans for South Carolina's public workforce by serving as the fiduciary stewards of the contributions and disbursements of the pension trust funds. In partnership with the state's public employers, we help ensure that they can offer their employees a comprehensive retirement plan that is responsive to their employees' needs and is equitable to all stakeholders.

There is a wealth of information about the Retirement Systems and the retirement plans we administer. Using the navigation tabs at the top of the large photo, you can explore retirement plan information for employees, retirees, or covered employers. The navigation at right will take you to more information in the form of resources and helpful information.

On our “Resources” pages you can use our calculators, read our publications, and watch our videos. Within the “Helpful Information” pages you will find our annual financial reports and actuarial valuations, accounting and financial reporting information, and legislative updates.
