Active Members
An active member is employed by an employer covered by the South Carolina Retirement Systems, earning service credit, making regular contributions to a retirement account, and not retired or terminated from covered employment. Active members receive a member statement each year that shows employee contributions and interest, service credit, and retirement account beneficiaries.

- South Carolina Retirement System (SCRS)
- Police Officers Retirement System (PORS)
- General Assembly Retirement System (GARS)
